I'm
Rob. I live in an island, Sardinia, that I consider
the "Italian Latin paradise" or, as a definition of a
friend of mine (Sarriña), "The Mediterranean Jamaica".
I knew the Shakers for pure case, when they played supporting Aerosmith,
on the 25th of may in 1997 in Milan and then inside of me was love
at first sight for their music. Their union of various styles
immediately caught my ears, used to listen '60s & '70s sounds (we are
obviously talking about musical gods like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin,
Hendrix, Deep Purple, Blue Öyster Cult and so on...) and to a
"determined beat/hippy philosophy". I adore rhythmic, beating,
mystic, instinctive and warm music and I think that Crispian &
Co. had completely filled up all these points. Kula:Shaker played
for the last time here in Italy on the 13th of may in 1999, date in
which I meet them in the backstage after the gig, I spoke with Paul
(You're f@#*ing great!!!), and I saw "on the road" one of
the greatest and "magnetic" person that I knew in my short
life... |
I would like to thank some persons...Without them the world has not
many sense: You know who you are!!! |
